On behalf of our client from the Nuremberg metropolitan region, we are looking for an experienced Application Engineer - Development and Product Design for direct placement. Our client is a renowned medium-sized company from the chemical industry and plastics development.

Your tasks:

• Product development, functional testing of prototypes and products
• Documentation of initial sample tests for product certification and development documentation
• Developing product requirements and ensuring compliance with changes to standards
• Suggestions for optimizing processes in terms of quality and efficiency
• Realization of test systems for series production
• Creating assembly instructions, parts lists, work instructions and flow charts
• Supporting the marketing department in the creation of sales documents and advertising material
• Development of sales arguments and presentations
• Competition and product analysis and comparison
• Partial complaint processing, support and handling of claims with insurance companies
• Organization of trade fair stands, supervision of set-up and dismantling as well as customer service
• Product training in-house and at customers' premises
• Contact for product specifications
• Creation of fixture drawings and designs following internal training
• Preliminary calculations
• Documentation and record keeping
• Working with EDP / in-house ERP system
• Assembling the assemblies of articles

What you bring with you:

• completed training in electrical engineering / mechanical engineering / toolmaking or similar, preferably technician or engineer
• Reading drawings
• Additional orientation and interest in the field of construction are advantageous
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications
• Logical thinking and a structured way of working
• Technical understanding and manual dexterity
• Good written and spoken English language skills an advantage
• Class B driver's license
• Willingness to travel
